IN THE BEGINNING UNTIL TODAY!
40 YEARS IN BUSINESS!
Celtic Studio was established in 1976.
The first step into the world of Scottish legend and lore was a small retail store in a large shopping Mall in London, Ontario, Canada. This was established by Louis Walsh while he was attended University. The small retail store was such a success that it led very quickly to another retail outlet and then an expansion into the world of high quality jewellery design and manufacturing. The very first Clan crest products were made in 1977. At that time no other company in the world produced these so very quickly over 200 retail stores became wholesale customers. Business was brisk!
In 1981 to be closer to family the business was moved to Vancouver, British Columbia. In 1985 the business re located to Salt Spring island, British Columbia. A small artistic community half way between the mainland of North America and Vancouver Island. From Salt Spring retail customers from around the world placed orders for unique products by mail order that could be found no where else in the world. In 1990 Celtic Studio began attending major Highland Games as a retail vendor on the west coast of Canada and the US. The wholesale division became increasingly busy with a staff of 6. In 1995 the first Celtic Studio web page was created opening new and expanding markets.
The business was based on Salt Spring Island for 11 years and then returned to North Vancouver in 2001 . Celtic Studio returned to its roots with retail stores in West and North Vancouver operating under the name "Scotch on the Rockies", a catchy name that always brought a smile to customers faces.
