The Isle of Skye (an t-Eilean Sgiathanach in Gaelic) takes its name from the old Norse sky-a, meaning ‘cloud island’, a Viking reference to the often-mist-enshrouded Cuillin Hills.
The Isle of Skye Luckenbooth design emulates the blowing of the clouds as they swirl about the Isle of Skye. The hearts are stretched and puffed as if blown by the wind.
Beautifully designed by Louis Walsh this unique Luckenbooth is cast from the finest sterling silver or gold. The Isle of Skye Luckenbooth pendant or brooch measures 1-1/4" by 1-1/2" (32mm x 39mm) In sterling silver the pendant includes an 18" Italian box link chain. The brooch has a three part high quality roll over catch.
