This exquisite antique thistle design brooch features a cabochon amethyst center stone (one of the typical stones for Scottish jewellery) surrounded by a detailed ring of eight thistles, the flower symbol of Scotland.
 This thistle brooch is handcrafted in solid sterling silver and measures 1-5/8"(42 mm) wide by 1-5/16"( 32) high . The brooch is fastened by a high quality nickel silver joint and catch. It is also available with a cornelian, lapis lazuli or rose quartz stone at the same price. Please specify which stone you would like. See pictures of these below.
This is a rare example of the high quality work produced in the Victorian era! Perfect for a tartan sash or wearing on a jacket lapel.
